We rarely do restaurant reviews these days but it’s not for the lack of loving good establishments – especially ones supporting local and seasonal food.
Restaurant reviews are tricky. On the good side of things they support local businesses, share your excitement or passion about experiences you like or perhaps draw critical attention to something that might be missing (although I think if you can’t say it to the chef, waiter, manager or owner is a productive way that it’s unfair to rant in public about it). On the flip side, I’m not specifically trained, don’t enjoy writing bad reviews and a lot of my dinners out are special memories that I share with friends and family.
