Howdy folks!
As multiple Holiday seasons approach for many of us, we’re sending out a quick reminder about the return of “Pimp That Preserves.” For those who weren’t around last year (you can find the complete series of posts here), this is a tongue-in-cheek competition that is as much about participating as much as it is about sharing ideas on how to present your homemade goodies to share with those you love during whatever occasion you wish to share.
We don’t have the exact details and prizes figured out yet – but you may want to start keeping your eyes out for great ideas (last year we received word from Sean at Punk Domestics that the contest was partially blamed for drying out the supply of novelty spoons at Thrift shops because of Dana’s inspiration photo below:

The contest isn’t truly about creating the prettiest jar or choosing one who is ‘best.’ It’s all about:
- Having fun
- Sharing ideas on how to creatively present our hard work
- Sharing with each other
- Having fun
- Having more fun
So keep your eyes open for ideas over the next few weeks; we’d love for everyone to play along. We’ll wrangle up some fun prizes and hope you’ll participate by joining along, voting or sharing!
We’ll get out the full instructions soon – in the meantime, keep your eyes and imaginations open (the link above has a tonne of inspirational links from last year)!

I am plotting.
Laura, I beleive you forgot to insert your evil laugh.

What a darling idea to wrap a spoon to the jar! Just makes you want to immediately open and taste.
