Pimp that Preserve *Winner!*

And at long last we have a WINNER for the Pimp that Preserve contest

**Lindsay from Uncanny**

Lindsay gets a signed copy of “Canning and Preserving with Ashley English” (make sure you check out Ashley’s blog Small Measure)

It was SUPER close at the end…coming in with 3 votes less than Lindsay was Rachelle! who jumped from 6th to 2nd place in one day! We’re going to send her a brand spankin’ new WellPreserved T-shirt (we only got a few of them them printed up for the Slow Food Picnic at the Evergreen Brickworks)

The 3rd place winner along with the two Honourable mention ‘runners up’ are after the jump…Once we’re into the new year I’m going to send out some WellPreserved buttons for everyone who sent in a submission. This was great fun, I hope people got a lot of great ideas for gifting their precious preserves (feel freeĀ  to share them on our facebook page).

This might have to be a seasonal event!

Cheers!

Kelly from EatLocalLondon’s late (my junkmail’s fault) submission had no trouble catching up…she was a super close third.

5th and 6th were 1 vote apart from each other….

Laura from Cubits Organics

and the Boyd Sisters from The Harvest Kitchen Sisters

If you missed the contest (how could you…we’ve been milking it for weeks now..haha). Check out this post to catch up.

Yay! That was some run for my money, Rachelle! Some seriously beautiful pimping.

My thanks to Well Preserved for organizing and hosting this contest. A great way to share ideas from fellow canners.

Since this is an online ‘pimping’ contest for preserves where votes are for what you see on your screen, I guess it really comes down to which photos have the most impact on the viewers.

I like the enthusiasm and excitement generated by the contest and I know design is essential for marketing and sales, but unless all the contestants had a standard photo setup and post-production support then it’s hard to judge this as anything more than a successful social media promotion.

agreed Al, was truly meant just to have fun….really think there`s far more than a winner…those who participated, smiled or even just got ideas to wrap things for fun… more about participation than world titles…this year :)
