61… and counting… Harlan Farms – Best Eggs in Toronto
Imagine being an egg farmer, selling your eggs to a wanting public every Saturday at the St Lawrence Market.
You’d have to wake up around midnight in order to gather your stock, pack your wares, and head down the road from Port Perry (about 60-70 minutes away). Your aim is to get to the market by 2am in order to open your stall by 5am. Despite two heart attacks and life’s other obstacles, you have yet to miss a Saturday in 61 years. In that time you took a single vacation for 4-days to Los Angeles.

Meet market heroes Norine and Harlan Clark of Harlan Farms (if you haven’t already). They are in the North Building of the St Lawrence Market and this is their story. They make the most wonderful eggs and if you’ve yet to try them – get ‘em while their fresh!
